BTS SCBH (Advanced Technician’s Certificate)
Wood and Housing Construction Systems
Holders of the SCBH Advanced Technician’s Certificate will work in the fields of timber construction applied to individual and collective housing, building, timber structures and roofing.
They will be involved at all levels, from technical design (CAD, digital simulations, estimates, quantity surveying, planning) through to acceptance of works for construction, extension or renovation projects.

Career prospects
The wood industry is undergoing a period of technological change, using Computer-Aided Design tools and new products. Wood construction, whose market share has been growing steadily over the last ten years, is fully in line with the sustainable development and energy performance approach. The training given to BTS students takes these changes into account. Working mainly in small and medium-sized companies.

The scope of activities includes product development, production planning and organization, manufacturing, implementation, and production management in various sectors such as fittings, furniture, cabinetry, joinery, windows, and staircases.
Entry requirements
15 places (apprenticeship and school status) offered to students from :
- Baccalauréat STI2D (science and technology for industry and sustainable development)
- Baccalauréat S, all profiles,
- Professional baccalaureates in woodworking and construction.

Designing systems
Analysing the architectural project in order to be able to choose, size and optimising the constructive solutions in collaboration with the partners and companies involved in the project. Drawing up the execution file and the design brief for the project.
Responding to a project
Analysing the tender documents and drafting a service proposal. Drawing up the quantity survey and determining the cost of the project by drawing up the estimate.
Organisation of experiments and implementation, Taking part in the installation (cutting, lifting, assembling in complete safety). Checking lifting elements and handling structural components Managing a team and validating technical construction solutions through experimentation.
